Skills development expo at Die Fakkel

SOUTH JHB Career and Skills development Expo was hosted by Believers Care Society (BCS) in partnership with the Gauteng Department of Social Development at Die Fakkel High School sports ground recently.
About 420 young people attended and 32 stalls of government departments, private companies and civil society organisations showcased their products and services to the youth.
BCS will like to thank all the youth participants and the stakeholders for attending and participating in the expo. The purpose of the event was successfully achieved, as young people were exposed to different career opportunities and many linked already to economic activities.

Again the unskilled and unemployed youth of the South are invited to apply for skills development training opportunities at BCS Youth Development Centre. New classes resume on Monday, October 31.
Training courses currently enrolling for the third quarter include: End-user computing, project management level 4, contact centre support, bookkeeping, office skills and a financial management course for entrepreneurs. The duration of these courses is three months respectively. They are accredited with respective SETAs.
All services take place at the community development centre in Turffontein.
Youth who are passion about the above courses are encouraged to apply now. To qualify one must be between 17 and 35 years old, reside in the of South of JHB and have a matric or equivalent or Grade 10. They must be willing to study and to complete the training. No fees are required and only unemployed and unskilled youth are accepted. Requirements include: copy of ID, proof of residence, previous qualification and a short CV. Classes are from Monday to Friday, five hours per day.
