Intensive mentorship for creche owners

This course is completely free of charge.

BELIEVERS Care Society (BCS) is inviting owners of Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres (crèches) and their staff members, to apply for a skills development opportunity.

It was initiated to assist them in running their crèches professionally. BCS also provides mentorship that’ll ensure that children under the crèches’ care, are properly taken care of – especially orphans and vulnerable children. The project is run in partnership with the United States President’s Emergency Plan for Aids Relief (PEPFAR).

Crèche owners and their staff will receive an accredited skills training course, which is FETC: Project management, SAQA ID: 50080. The course is for a duration of four months, attending only twice in a week: on Fridays from 13:00 to 16:00 and on Saturdays from 08:00 to 12 noon. The duration of the entire project will be for six months, which also includes the mentorship programme.

Certificates of competence will be issued at the completion of course, to participants who complete and pass the course – and also a certificate of mentorship participation in an Aids relief programme. Registration is currently in progress and only 25 participants will be accepted; two people per crèche. Classes will commence on the January 16 next year at the Development Centre in Turffontein.

This course is completely free of charge. Crèches are encouraged to come forward and take advantage of this rare opportunity, especially those that are non-funded and lack project management skills.
