Tow truck driver dies

According to Wayne Minnaar, chief superintendent JMPD, the tow truck driver was driving down Kliprivier Drive when he lost control of his vehicle.

A TOW truck driver who worked for Deep South Towing, died after he was involved in an accident on Wednesday, August 30.

The accident happened on Kliprivier Drive, Glenanda, at about 8.30am when the driver was responding to another accident which had been reported, also on Kliprivier Drive, Mulbarton. Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) and EMS were called to the scene.

According to Wayne Minnaar, chief superintendent JMPD, the tow truck driver was driving down Kliprivier Drive when he lost control of his vehicle. He was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene of the accident. A Nissan van also damaged in the accident. A case of culpable homicide is being investigated by the police.
