The less fortunate received food, blankets, socks and beanies.

RAJ Naidoo and his family donated food, blankets, socks and beanies to the less fortunate in Rosettenville on June 20.

The owner of an authentic Indian Takeaway, Eastern Café, which is situated on the corner of Verona Road and Carter Street, said he felt the need to donate these items, especially the warm ones as it is winter.

“We always give them food on Wednesdays because not everyone is fortunate to have a meal and warm clothes. We have been in the South for four and half years and most of our customers are here, and for us to give back, we decided to do this gesture,” explained Raj.
