ANIMAL ANTI-Cruelty League (AACL) is inviting all Gauteng primary school learners to support their show by entering in the competition which will be on November 30.
AACL Johannesburg Annual School Poster Challenge for this year has begun its countdown with a closing date on October 31. Learners are encouraged by AACL to start entering.
It is easy and fun to enter:
Draw/paint a picture showing ways in which people are compassionate and kind to animals, care for them, and touch their lives in helpful ways. Remember it’s not all about a pretty picture, but a picture with a message. A slogan or title may also help in making your message clear. Learners are allowed to use any medium e.g. paint/pastel/ink/crayon etc on either A2 or A3 paper. Be creative, keep your picture bold, striking and original and have fun.
Enter in one of these categories and stand a chance of winning:
1. Grade One and Two: first place prize R2 000;
2. Grade Three, Four and Five: first place prize R2 000;
3. Grade Six and Seven: first place prize R 2000 and the school with the top donation will win a CANON Laser Multifunctional printer valued at R10 000.
Each category also has stacks of merit prizes from Animaltalk Magazine, Canon, Gold Reef City Theme Park, Cartoon Candy, Dean’s Stationers, Bob Martin, Artjamming, PVM Nutritional Sciences, Oh Crumbs and Roll-Egoli Roller Rink.
Don’t forget to clearly print on the back of your picture:
Your name, surname, age, grade and entry category (1/2/3), your school’s name and email address/telephone number and your parents’ telephone number.

Pictures will be adjudicated on merit by a panel of selected adjudicators. The finalists and winners will be announced on November 30 at AACL Johannesburg Facebook page (www.facebook.com/AACLJHB) where their posters will be exhibited.
