ON August 31, Sectors One and Three, with SAPS, lead by Moffat View SAPS’s Captain Jeff Phora and Isaac Davis from Moffat View CPF had a joint operation through the whole Moffat View precinct.
The operation concentrated mainly on high visibility, although stop-and-search operations were also executed.
On September 7, Moffat View SAPS, under the leadership of Captain Erasmus Smal, JMPD and CPF Sectors One and Three also had a joint roadblock in Sector Three.
Various community members were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Paulo Monteiro, Sector Three PRO and Moffat View patroller coordinator, said, “It is comforting to notice the community is starting to use taxis to transport them home when they go out drinking. However, the number of community members driving under the influence is still very high. Thank you to all the officers and CPF patrollers who were involved.”
