The purpose of the visit was to allow contestants to meet and sign autographs for their fans on September 28.

SOUTH Africa’s most popular singing competition which airs on Mzansi Magic 161 every Sunday 5.30pm visited Southgate Mall with its nine contestants.

The purpose of the visit was to allow contestants to meet and sign autographs for their fans on September 28.

The contestant arrived at Southgate with style and flair as they waved and greeted their fans. The visit was to allow fans to know the contestants and be able to interact with them.

Telkom provided fans with free T-shirts for contestants to sign. The contestants were accompanied by a judge from Idols Randall Abrahams who was also posing for pictures and chatting with fans.

“To see Randall face to face is something special. I was just here to do shopping but to my surprise I bumped into the Idols contestants. I am so excited that I don’t think I will be able to sleep tonight. My favourite contestant is Niyaaz Arendse,” said fan Nancu Mabena.
