Important message from Johannesburg SPCA

The JSPCA will continue to focus on the SPCA core business which is the prevention of cruelty to animals through inspectorate services.

UNTIL further notice the Johannesburg SPCA will no longer be open to the public for hospitals consultations and hospital services.

Regrettably the JSPCA has been unable to secure the services of a full time veterinarian. With effect from December 10 from Mondays to Fridays only, the following hospital services will be available to the public in the prevention of cruelty to animals:

· Vaccinations and deworming

· Sterilisation

· Euthanasia and disposal

With effect from November 10, Saturday hospital consultations will be discontinued.

The JSPCA will continue to focus on the SPCA core business which is the prevention of cruelty to animals through inspectorate services.

They will continue to accept stray and donated animals.

Remember their kennels and pet accessory shop with still be open from Mondays to Saturdays from 8am to 4pm, for adoptions, food and pet accessory purchases.
