Al-Imdaad Foundation donates goods to children
The children are referred to the house by social workers from different hospitals.
AL-Imdaad Foundation’s back to school campaign donated school bags, stationery, toys and clothes to the safe house called the Foundation of Love Social and Welfare in Kibler Park on January 23.
The safe house currently houses 13 children. These children are referred to the house by social workers from different hospitals.
Nazamoodien Khan, who runs the house with his wife Nadia Kajee, said they also work closely with the Social Development Department.
“The foundation is 15 years old and the safe house is 10 years old. We do not only receive children from hospitals but we also house children who were abandoned by their parents. Thanks to Al-Imdaad for the generous donations,” he said.
