Turffontein customer Thabane Xaba wins big

EXCITEMENT was written all over Turffontein customer Thabane Xaba when he won a Weber braai stand and a whopping R25 000 at Kenilworth SPAR butchery on January 23.
All he had to do was to buy meat worth over R100 and enter the competition via SMS.
“During the festive season I bought the meat for about R200 and I entered the competition. They phoned me and they said I had won the braai stand. They didn’t tell me about the money. This is a surprise. Thank you SPAR,” he said.Thabane said he often enters competitions and in the past has won handsomely in different competitions including a phone and a holiday. He said this time he was just entering for fun, not knowing he would be a winner, but he is glad he did.
Carlos Afonso from Kenilworth SPAR handed over his prizes and he was congratulated by the staff at the butchery who helped him when he purchased the meat.
