Power outage in the South and Central West of Johannesburg

City Power would like to apologise to all customers affected by a tripped 88kv line (kilovolts) that feeds a number of areas in the South and parts of Central West.

30% of the unplanned power outage is currently restored and their technicians are currently on site ensuring that there is full restoration.

Although the weather is suspected at this point, it has not been established as to what the cause of the outage is at the present moment.

Among the areas in the South that have been restored include:

 Kibler Park
 Naturena
 Alvida
 Mondeor
 Meredale
