SOJO Rotary Annual Charity Race Day

This event has been hosted by SOJO and Rotary for the past 10 years and has gained great interest as regular guests seek to attend every year.

GUESTS who attended the SOJO Rotary Annual Charity Race Day enjoyed a beautiful warm sunny day at Turffontein Racecourse on May 11.

SOJO CEO Nicky Vakaloudis said, “Phumelela Turffontein Racecourse is a major sponsor and proud SOJO member of this event which was held in the elegant Centenary Room on the third floor. Hundred-and-twenty guests were treated to a delectable three course meal and complimentary table wine proudly sponsored by Panorama Pick n Pay Liquor Store.”

The dress up theme created excitement and guests were treated to many lucky ticket prizes valued at R10 000, sponsored by Gold Reef City, Howden Africa, iL’Camino Restaurant, Bargain Books Mall of the South and Robot Hardware and Paint. Sport memorabilia items were also auctioned to raise funds for the charity of choice, namely United Cerebral Palsy Association (UCPA).

The day fulfilled expectations of great fun, networking, exhilarating racing and handsome winnings for those betted on their favourite.
