More smiles for senior citizens on Mother’s Day

The South Branch visited Annie Burger Retirement Village and Carrick Place Old Age Home both in Crown Gardens and also Duncan Trust Centre in Kibler Park.

WITS South Branch of the Cake Decorator’s guild visited three old age homes to hand out goodie bags for Mother’s Day on May 11.

They adopted various old ages homes as their charitable drive for the year and provided goodie bags with essential toiletries and homemade biscuits and warm socks for all the residents for Mother’s Day and will do so again on Father’s Day.

Goodie bags handed out at Annie Burger Retirement Village by members of Wits South Branch of the Cake Decorator’s Guild.

All smiles after receiving goodie bags.

“We would like to thank all our sponsors for their generosity and the ladies from Wits South for baking the biscuits. The guild is open to everyone and will welcome new members. We meet once a month where we share our sugar craft with tea and cake,” said Ursula Tizzone, chairperson, Wits South Cake Decorators Guild.
