A MAN was sentenced to four years’ direct imprisonment following a business break-in on Main Street, Johannesburg on June 27, 2017.
According to Booysens SAPS, the victim locked his business doors on June 26. At about 1am on June 27, his security company altered him about a possible break-in.
The victim quickly went to his business premises and upon his arrival he found the police and the security company already on site.
The suspect was inside the shop when the victim realised that his burglar door was bent and the padlock was broken, but nothing was taken.
Sgt Edmond Rangwanasha investigated the matter and obtained all relevant proof, which resulted in the conviction.
