WATCH: A platform for the youth to express their talent

New organisation on a mission to help young people.

SANNA Ya Ubunifu, a local NPO, and Southdale Library hosted an Open Stage Project as a pre-Youth Day celebration on June 15.

The purpose of this event was to bring young people together to share ideas on how to reduce drug abuse and teenage pregnancy, create a platform where young people can express themselves through different talents and address domestic issues they face on a daily basis.

Lebogang Ntamane performed a love song and then Themba Mavuso, who recently launched his new album, performed one of his tracks.

Precious Masuku, one of the organisers, said doing something for the youth is key and should be done regularly.

Precious Masuku welcomes attendees.

“We are creating a platform where young people won’t be afraid to express themselves through their art. The aim of this organisation is to create a platform which will be conducive to accommodating everyone to build confidence, self-esteem, and courage. We want to support all aspiring talents in our communities,” said Masuku.
