Mr Lover Man to release documentary
The 28-year-old from Booysens is a multi-talented individual and God-fearing man.
THEMBA Mavuso, also known as Mr Lover Man, is about to release his first-ever documentary, titled Mr Lover Man’s Diary, which is expected to captivate his audience and shake up relationships.
The 28-year-old from Booysens is a multi-talented individual and God-fearing man.
Themba is a producer, singer, songwriter and author and told the COURIER that his passion for music and film developed at an early age. In the documentary, Mavuso shares his upbringing and what lured him to fall in love with himself.
The documentary is about Mavuso’s music journey, dating back to his upbringing.
He began singing at an early age in school choirs and at church events. As time went by, his love of music grew and he decided to stick with two genres – gospel and love songs.
A message of love
Mavuso said he is not a love doctor or an expert when it comes to love, but because of personal experiences in relationships, he can advise where possible.
Therefore, the documentary won’t be on his life experiences, but a message to people about love.
“I have been in serious relationships and my friends who are married have been telling me what’s going in their relationships. So I put my own experiences from my relationships, and that what married people tell me, in my music to help people,” he said.
In the documentary, he shares some of his love with the world through his latest music videos, such Sondela, Ring and Nguwe, to name a few. Mavuso said this documentary is for people from all walks of life.
“The response from some of the people who have seen the trailers of the film have been astounding. It’s definitely a must-watch. I will also be releasing my book soon. It is packed with bits to help people in their business, relationships and career,” he said.

The documentary will be in selected stores soon.
