Beckon of Hope (BOH) from Naturena raise money for learners

Beckon of Hope has adopted Naturena Primary School Number 2 where selected learners are taken care of in terms of uniform, stationery and school excursions.

BECKON of Hope (BOH) from Naturena hosted a colourful fun walk/run event at Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve to raise funds for learners on November 2.

They have adopted Naturena Primary School Number 2 where selected learners are taken care of in terms of uniform, stationery and school excursions.

This non-profit organisation aims to bring new hope to underprivileged learners and also eradicate educational poverty from orphans of origin or circumstances irrespective of colour, gender and religion.

BOH chairperson Theadora Lucy Ramoroka said they are bridging the gap.

“We know that schools make provision for learners where they provide food and pay school fees, among other things. At BOH we then cater for psychological, emotional and physical support to these learners.

“Learners without uniform, stationery or money for school excursions can feel neglected and sometimes not come to school. So we work with teachers to identify these learners and help them from our own pockets. And we encourage anyone to join us so that we can help more learners,” she said.
