[GALLERY + VIDEOS]: Lucky Lekgwathi visits Ormonde Primary

The Ormonde resident, with his Lucky Lekgwathi Foundation, will host the Annual Phindamzala Tournament, a Top Eight u-15 soccer competition on November 16 at the school.

AS part of giving back to his community, Orlando Pirates legend Lucky Lekgwathi visited Ormonde Primary on November 13 where he interacted with the learners.

The Ormonde resident, with his Lucky Lekgwathi Foundation, will host the Annual Phindamzala Tournament, a Top Eight u-15 soccer competition, on November 16 at the school.

Lucky came with soccer balls and caps on the day where he urged the learners to continue studying and wished them good luck on their future endeavours.

He also explained why he wanted to do this tournament at the school.

“ I’m doing this because I was the ambassador of Copa Coca-Cola and travelled most of the provinces. I was touched after seeing the youngsters and talent in South Africa.

“Because I stay here in Ormonde, I want to give back to this community. In the morning from 7am to 9am we will have a boot camp and after that the soccer tournament will start,” he said.

Learners, teachers and groundsmen were happy to see the former captain of Orlando Pirates. Almost everyone wanted to take a photo with him. A well-spent morning for all who were present.
