What people think of the new mayor

“I will give him some time to see if he can deliver and take the City where it was. But, listening to his speech, I believe he will help us take the City to the next level.”-Ndlovu.

THE COURIER asked readers what they think about the newly elected City of Johannesburg mayor Geoffrey Makhubo, this is what they had to say.

SIHLE MTSHALI: “I’m not much into these politics, but I think if he is given a chance there is a lot he will do. Also, the City is big and it won’t take him few days to fix things, but, if given a few years, he might change certain things.”
GIFT NDLOVU: “I will give him some time to see if he can deliver and take the City where it was. But, listening to his speech, I believe he will help us take the City to the next level.”
LUKA SEPUTA: “Filling such shoes of Herman Mashaba isn’t going to be easy, but he needs to have a team which is good. Overall, I trust he will do what must be done, which is to serve the community with pride and dignity.”
MARY MOLOI: “All he needs to do is fight for service delivery because that’s one of the major problems. I trust he will deliver and we can expect better things from him.”
