South Hills residents clean up their neighbourhood

Three residents have taken it upon themselves to help clean up South Hills and are calling on others to join them.

Three residents from South Hills took it upon themselves to clean up their neighbourhood and, cleaning tools in hand, they set off for the task on March 10.

One of the residents, Rodney Charles, said they were tired of waiting for the councillor to help them clean their area.

“We need to make our area one of the best. If we don’t help ourselves, no one will help us. Therefore, we as the guys have taken it upon ourselves to keep our area clean,” said Charles.

Recardo Taaibos, another resident, told the COURIER if locals took care of their suburb, South Hills would be a place people would want to visit. The trio encouraged other residents to help them keep South Hills clean.

Councillor Faeeza Chame said it is important for people to keep their neighbourhood clean and not rely on the councillor in this regard.
