Little one raises funds for Door of Hope
"Random acts of kindness bring light to the darkest of days. Our love and appreciation to everyone involved." – Sanet Pillay

Remember little Saiyann Pillay and her storytelling quest in an effort to raise funds for Door of Hope?
She set out to read stories online which could then be purchased by people making donations towards the charity of her choice.
Saiyann aimed at raising R10 000 by her seventh birthday. Well, this little one celebrated her birthday on June 3 and was able to raise R9 400.
As promised, her dad, Jay, added another R10 000 and the funds have been paid over to Door of Hope.
Sanet, Saiyann’s mother, said: “We would really like to thank our family, old friends and new, for their overwhelming support and assure everyone their funds will help the precious children at Door of Hope. “Random acts of kindness bring light to the darkest of days. Our love and appreciation to everyone involved.”
From Door of Hope
Greetings Saiyann, the Pillay family and all your friends
We hope that this letter finds you well and in good health, and Saiyann, we wish you a Happy Birthday for yesterday.
You have done an amazing act of kindness towards our babies and we are grateful to you for supporting our work in saving abandoned babies.
Since the lockdown, more babies are being abandoned, and this means that places like our baby homes need to be well stocked to look after babies. We received 10 babies in the last two months, and now we have a total of 73 children in our care.
Saiyann, your donations of baby care essentials are helping us to provide for our babies so that they can grow up to be happy, healthy, and wise, just like you.
Thank you for your generous giving.
Because of you, we hope as David did: ‘Then our sons in their youth will be like well-nurtured plants, and our daughters will be like pillars carved to adorn a palace.’
With love and appreciation,
Management, staff, and our babies at The Door of Hope Children’s Mission
