Shopper complains about centre’s security guards

“And if you ask him a question, he is impolite and disrespectful.”

Lemon Tree Shopping Centre has always been my preferred place to do my shopping since 2006 as I live close by.

Since the national lockdown the security at the centre have become so arrogant and disrespectful towards shoppers that I don’t even want to shop there anymore.

The security guard at the Pep Stores entrance is rude towards the shoppers. Why does he close the main entrance door just to let people bottleneck on top of each other to enter and exit through one small side door?

How is this helping social distancing?

And if you ask him a question, he is impolite and disrespectful.

Also, the new security inside Pick ‘n Pay think they are dealing with school children and stand there and move there and step forward all the time.

I’m sorry, but I find this extremely offensive and I don’t understand why these guards think they can treat shoppers like we’re delinquents?

It seems to be the norm at all the shops at Lemon Tree Shopping Centre (except Woolworths).

I have been spending thousands at this mall every month, supporting all the stores and suddenly I’m being treated like garbage?

What one should never forget is when this is over – you still need your return clientele.
