According to SAPS, the driver of one of the trucks felt like the truck was binding and shortly after heard gunshots. He left the truck and ran away. As he was running he saw that the truck was on fire. The driver of a second truck noticed the stationary truck in the road and hooted at the truck. Thw driver heard gunshots and laid down within the truck. As the suspects approached the truck, they opened the door and aimed a gun at him whilst they poured petrol over him.
He opened the driver door and ran away. The suspects fired several shots at him and as he looked back the truck was burning. 
The first driver lost his cellphone and his personal firearm. No injuries were reported by SAPS.
