Eight suspects arrested for different crimes

Johannesburg Flying Squad communications officer Raymond Sambo said the investigation continues in all cases.

Johannesburg Flying Squad members arrested eight suspects for different crimes in different areas in Johannesburg from February 12 to 15.

Among the eight suspects, four were arrested for attempted theft of a vehicle, two for house robbery, one for drunken driving, and one for contravening the disaster management act 2020.

Johannesburg Flying Squad communications officer Raymond Sambo said the investigation continues in all cases.

“Working together with the community led to these recoveries. SAPS appreciates the public for their contribution. It should also be noted that for any information regarding the vehicles, people may contact the relevant detective quoting the relevant case number.

“All eight suspects, aged between 25 and 30, appeared in different Magistrate’s Courts facing charges of attempted theft of a vehicle, house robbery, drunken driving, and contravening the disaster act 2020,” he said.
