Beam thieves nabbed in Brackendowns area

Stolen items to the estimated value of R100 000 was found in the possession of the suspects.

Two suspects were arrested by Brackendowns SAPS for possession of stolen property and possession of house break-in implements on September 26.

Acting on information received about beam theft in the Brackendowns policing area, reaction officers from Fox Security and Alberton AfriForum, assisted by Sgt Riaan Venter from Brackendowns SAPS, arrested the two suspects.

The suspects had stolen beams, gate motors, cameras, alarm boxes and other stolen items in their possession. The value of the items is estimated at around R100 000.

The suspects are expected to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court later this week and are also linked to other cases reported at Brackendowns SAPS.
