A big thank you to Cat Box Pet Hyper and APN

A new home for two feral kittens.

Jamila Keshwar, GM of Mall at Newmarket, recently found two feral kittens on site and took it upon herself to find a home for them.

“My daughters and I rescued them and were in contact with Esmari Kruger from the Animal Protection Network (APN), who assisted us and helped find them a forever home,” said Jamila.

Cat Box Pet Hyper donated a holding cage for the kittens so that Esmari can tame them at her home before rehoming them.

Jamila wants to take the opportunity to thank Cat Box Pet Hyper and APN for their assistance.

“When we are all working together, we can achieve big things,” she said.

She also said extra care should be taken when feral cats or kittens are spotted.

“Make sure you contact an animal organisation that works with feral cats so they can receive the care needed.”

More about APN

APN is a NPO that operates in Alberton and surrounding areas. They are a group of volunteers who rescue, foster and rehome animals.

They have feeding schemes where they help to feed pets of people who can’t afford it. APN also assists the residents of the Thinasonke Township. The NPO also sterilises animals when they can. All of this is done out of the goodness of their hearts. Their main focus is to look after the well-being and health of all animals.

By helping animals all around, their vet bills are mostly sky-high.

APN rely solely on donations from the public, whether it be in the form of funds, food or even second-hand goods they sell at their monthly jumble sales.
