City Power responds to outages in the South

City Power is experiencing a power outage at Moffat View substation in the south of Johannesburg.

Most parts in the South were left without power this Thursday morning after an outage at the Moffat View substation.

City Power is aware of the unplanned outages affecting Unigray, Moffat View and Electron and surrounding areas.

City Power spokesperson, Isaac Mangena subsequently provided feedback on the matter.

“Our teams worked around the clock to repair the fault. Repairs are complete and power will be restored this morning,” he said.

Mangena confirmed that they are aware of 12 individual calls in Forest Hill of which 6 have been allocated and the other half will be dispatched as and when resources become available.

He further stated that 4 individual calls were logged in Oakdene, 1 dispatched and 3 unallocated.

“Rosettenville has a lot of calls that we are busy investigating,” said Mangena.

“We apologise for the inconvenience,” added Mangena.
