Johannesburg Flying Squad arrested three suspects for separate crimes and recovered five vehicles, between May 13 and 16, in different areas in Johannesburg.
Among the suspects arrested, two were arrested for the possession of a stolen vehicle and one for being in possession of drugs.
Vehicles recovered were a white Ford Focus and golden Toyota Fortuner, both hijacked from the owners, and a white Toyota Yaris, grey Peugeot and a white Hyundai H100 bakkie that were stolen.
Johannesburg Flying Squad communication officer SPO Raymond Sambo said the investigation continues in all the cases. He said working with the community led to these recoveries.
“SAPS appreciates the public for their contribution. Also note that you may contact the detective, quoting the relevant case number, in getting information regarding the recovered vehicles.
“The three suspects, aged between 20 and 30, appeared in different Magistrate’s Courts facing charges of possession of stolen vehicle and possession of drugs,” he said.
