Children enjoys visit from Brackendowns SAPS and Fox Security

Brackendowns SAPS needs to look after the safety of the community, but they are also passionate about educating residents and the youth.

SAPS Brackensdowns Vispol and Fox Security recently visited Junior Castilian Colleges.

The topic of the day was ‘Stranger Danger’ and members used creative ways to show little ones how to identify a real police officer and what to do when coming face-to-face with a stranger.

“It is important to teach our children about the dangers from a young age,” said Warrant Officer Gerhard Cornelius.

Children were also reminded about the emergency numbers, 10111 and 112, and how to use them.

At the end of the talk, children had the opportunity to climb into a real police vehicle and see what it looks like inside.
