Joburg south residents complain about Wheelz N Smoke arena noise
Residents complain about spinning, screeching of tyres, loud music and DJ's from Wheelz N Smoke.
Residents have been complaining about Wheels N Smoke arena based in Kromvlei corner Klipriver Road (R556) and Kromvlei Road, Liefde En Vrede, Johannesburg south.
Some of the residents complain that loud noise can be heard from the arena.
For many years Noise Action Group (NAG ) say they had to put up with loud noise like spinning, screeching of tyres, loud music and DJs from Wheelz N Smoke (WS).
“We as NAG feel enough is enough,” said a member from NAG who chose to stay anonymous.
Ayanda Blele, co-owner of Wheelz N Smoke said, “Most of our events are called Shay’imoto, hosted at Wheelz N Smoke arena by Redbull, supported by BMW, Puma Sport and SABC Sport to put our South African athletes (youth) on the world map.

We worked hard in cleaning street spinning by establishing a safe place for the youth to practice what they love without putting others in danger.
“Yes, it is a noisy sport, we need your support as the community and we are willing to comply. Let’s find solutions instead of people trying to close us down, come support us if you can.”
Monde Hashe commented saying, “Dear beautiful people of Mulbarton, I am Monde Hashe, also a co-owner of Wheelz N Smoke sports complex.
I want to bring it to your attention that we have been trying to meet up with your so-called committee to discuss the problems that we are challenged with within our area, including noise but nothing is coming from them other than making noise on social media platforms. We are here every day and are available for discussions that affect our community negatively.”
