Icare Optometrists raises R55k for Alberton Child Welfare

An eye care company, Icare Optometrists, generously handed over a cheque to the amount of R55 000 to Alberton Child Welfare on October 24.

Icare Optometrists recently hosted its first-ever golf day fundraiser at Reading Country Club.

All proceeds were donated to Alberton Child Welfare.

Icare thanked its sponsors which made the event a success. Special thanks go to Carl Zeiss, Dunlop, Raceview Motors, Labour Law, Claude Barnes Accounting, Webshure, DG Capital, Ecovis, Paul James, Smack!, Protective Force and Data Real Estate.

Izolde Deyzel of Icare Optometrist said: “We extend gratitude to all our sponsors for making the fundraiser a success. We’d also like to thank Reading Country Club for the great help. We have been involved in a few other projects in the community, such as schools and charities.”

She told the Alberton Record they always assist the community where they can.

Martin Kroukamp of Alberton Child Welfare thanked the company and said this much-needed donation will go towards sustaining the organisation and its beneficiaries.
