Haksul Muziq releases new music

A young man who grew up in Palmridge, who strongly believes in music has yet again released two new EPs after winning big in the SAMA2022 awards.

South African Music Award (SAMA2022) Artist of the Year winner recently released his second EP after shaking the SAMA stage during this year’s awards.

The Artist of the Year award was first presented in 2021 and honours performers who, in the opinion of the general public, entertained fans the most over the preceding year.

The winner, Tokoloho Mavuso, popularly known as Haksul Muziq, said winning the title motivated him in such a way that he only sees music as his career throughout his whole life. He has also grown massively in how he writes new songs.

“Writing music since the award is slightly different from how I used to do it, because a huge room for improvement was opened for me. I make sure that I become better due to the opportunity the country has presented me with,” said Haksul.

The greater Alberton star has always been involved in music. At the age of seven, he was already singing and playing the drums. When he was 16 years old, he decided to become a DJ because he felt that the music was taking control of him.

Haksul first dropped an EP titled I’ll Never Know immediately after he was announced the SAMA artist of the year and has recently released Nguwe Lona to keep the momentum going.

“These EPs are not that different from the ones I used to do before. The only difference it’s the approach I used to produce these songs and also the instruments I am now using to define who the real Haksul Muziq is,” he said.

Haksul Muziq pleads with the community to continue supporting his music as he is about to change the community for the better.
