Amcare receives donations from QUWN Ministries

QUWN Ministries successfully took the lead in feeding Amcare's most vulnerable women and children on December 7.

Although it is their everyday duty to make a difference for 16 Days of Activism, QUWM Ministries donated nutritious meals and food hampers to Amcare on December 7.

The donated items went strictly to the vulnerable women and children Amcare shelters to show them that they are still cared for and loved even in their darkest days.

According to pastor Sharon Hill of QUWM Ministries, their goal is to develop a generation that will use the abilities that God has given them to liberate the captives, heal the sick, feed the hungry and save the lost. She said that they must ensure that everyone goes to bed with a full stomach.

“Whenever we see the need to help, we try by all means to meet the needs of whoever might need us. The food parcels aim to ensure that we do not just provide nutritious food for these individuals when we are near them, however, even if they are in their safe space and homes should be able to eat,” said Hill.

The parcels were directly given to the women and children that live in Amcare’s safe space after being exposed to danger and other negative socio-factors.

Amcare’s social worker, Thandeka Nzimande, said that they are grateful for these donations from QUWM Ministries as they truly needed them. She said that the women needed the meals and the hampers as it is time for the holiday which is mostly spent with loved ones.

“We appreciate the great generosity of the ministry. Amcare is grateful for your donations and sacrifices. Your assistance, particularly for those who are receiving our round-the-clock supervision, helps to advance our purpose through our projects empowering vulnerable women and children.

“We want to say again how much we appreciate your support,” said Thandeka.

The QUWM Ministries encouraged every citizen to make a difference to extend a helping hand.
