Schools compete at fun relay event

Eight schools took part in a relay event at Alberton High.

Alberton High School hosted a friendly relay event for the primary schools of Alberton and its surrounding areas.

Eight schools took part in a series of relays, starting with the U9 girls and boys through to the U13s.

The competing schools were Alberton Primary School, Alberview Primary School, Brackenhurst Primary, Laerskool President Steyn, Waterstone College, Laerskool Randhart, Kenton Primary School and Laerskool Orion.

The day wrapped up with a continuous relay race where the first age group handed the baton to the next group until every age group had completed a 4 x 100m relay.

The crowds went wild and cheered for their respective schools, making it a successful day.
