Members of Alberton SAPS nabbed three suspects for dealing in dagga on February 9.
The detainees were reported to be dealing in different types of dagga products, including muffins.
The various products were confiscated and taken to the station to be used as an exhibit in the local court of law.
Captain Manare Ramotshela of Alberton SAPS said that upon their arrest, the suspects claimed to have a license to sell the said products.
“No one is above the law. The suspects were arrested in an intelligence-driven operation. The police preventing crime in the area managed to bring three suspects to official registers after the findings. These people are making oil, cakes, chocolate and sweets laced with dagga and sell it,” he said.
He reiterated that one suspect was nabbed for possession of a dagga while the other pair were arrested for dealing in a dagga.
