Members of Alberton SAPS recently noticed three suspicious-looking males driving in a white Toyota bakkie on the R59.
The officers signalled to the suspects to pull over, however, the trio fled from their vehicle and a police chase ensued.
The police nabbed the suspects and upon investigation, they found them to have a large quantity of explosives.
“The three African foreign national male suspects aged were arrested and will be taken to the local court of law to face their crimes. The explosives were taken to the police laboratory for verification. The vehicle, which was used by the suspects was impounded since it was used in a crime,” said Captain Manare Ramotshela of Alberton SAPS.
The station commander commended the members for a job well done and encouraged the community to remain their eyes and ears in the fight against crime.
