Stephen Le Roux from Fourth Dimension Security Services and the chairperson of Brackendowns CPF, Geoff Steyn, reacted swiftly to arrest a woman who has been part of a syndicate that targets school learners for their cellphones.
Le Roux received a call notifying him of suspects busy robbing a child of his cellphone in Tugela Street.
“A description of suspects and vehicle were given and I patrolled the area and managed to catch one suspect in Vaal Street in the act of attempting to rob another child,” he said.
He then called Steyn from Brackendowns CPF to assist.
The suspect was detained and taken to Brackendowns SAPS.
