Support community project in South Hills
More support is needed in order to fight the scarcity of food.
The community in South Hills has partnered with Diversity High School to utilise a portion of the school grounds to plant vegetables.
Ward 57 councillor Faeeza Chame said food security has become a necessity with the high unemployment rate.
“This team is looking to start a feeding scheme at the school. There are still children in need of lunch packs that go to school without any food. If there is anyone willing to donate pots, a gas stove, plates and crockery towards this project, please contact me on 081 329 7424.
“Let us make a difference and change lives,” she said.
