Autism Zone Hope celebrates Autism Awareness Month

AZH founder Pauline Tuendele said they had a fun day with the children living with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and the mothers played with their children and mingled with one another.

Autism Zone Hope (AZH) celebrated Autism Awareness Month at Pioneer Park, Rosettenville, intending to bring hope to the vulnerable on April 29.

AZH founder Pauline Tuendele said they had a fun day with children living with ASD.

“Creating a supportive environment for one another helps mothers and caregivers develop resilience in caring for their children and a sense of belonging. It is not easy to be a parent of an autistic child. Mothers are strong and deserve to be treated with love, care, and support. I want to encourage women with ASD children to be vigilant and strong so that they can care for their babies. Through the support from family, friends, support groups and the community, mothers will find it easy to take care of their children with ASD,” said Tuendele.
