Cobras Shotokan Karate Club attends the national championships

Cobras Shotokan Karate Club participated in the recently held South African WUKF National Championship and Africa Open.

The Alberton Cobras Shotokan Karate Club recently participated in the South African WUKF National Championship and Africa Open, which was held at the Boardwalk Hotel in Gqeberha.

More than 1 200 entrants participated in the three-day competition, which attracted over 600 athletes from 15 different WUKF South African affiliated federations.

An extraordinary level of karate was demonstrated throughout these three days, making this a highly successful event.

Among the 12 participants, the students from the club performed incredibly well and brought back a total of 29 medals, including nine gold, 14 silver and 6 bronze medals.

The club holds beginner and advanced courses on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 17.30 to 19:30 at Ascot Mews (19 Heidelberg Avenue, Newmarket).
