JOY Dogs puts smiles on peoples face at Brackenview Healthcare

The JOY Dogs spent 67 minutes of Nelson Mandela Day at a healthcare facility.

JOY Dogs visited Life Brackenview Hospital to dedicate 67 minutes to Nelson Mandela Day on July 18.

You could see smiles and joy on everyone’s faces, even those initially afraid of the dogs.

Sue Green, the owner of JOY Dogs, emphasised studies have shown that dogs reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, alleviate loneliness, encourage exercise, and improve people’s overall health.

However, many people fear dogs and cannot benefit from interacting with them.

The JOY Dogs Jade, Orion and Yola will also be at Builders Warehouse Newmarket on July 29 from 9 to 12.

If you would like the JOY Dogs to visit you, call Green on 082 455 8634.
