Trio helps furry friends in need

As part of their school project, ‘Helping Hands’ recently gave back to the Animal Anti-Cruelty League.

Three friends Kaylee Boshoff, Lizette Bester and Tanika van der Merwe recently visited Animal Anti-Cruelty League to hand over much-needed donations to the Johannesburg South NPO.

The group of friends from Hoërskool Dinamika under the group name Helping Hands, showered furry friends from Animal Anti-Cruelty League with a stack of donations.

Thanks to donations received from interested parties, they donated dog and cat food, blankets, toys, and dog beds.

Lizette said the school project was about helping those in need and from the few options they had, they then collectively picked the Animal Anti-Cruelty League.

“We want to thank our school Hoërskool Dinamika for giving us the opportunity to help animals in need. We want to thank all donors and we thank Toni Mackerel from Rietvlei Zoo Farm for helping us. We also thank Carren Nickloes from Animal Anti-Cruelty League for letting us help the animals,” she said.

They have committed to doing this at least twice a year.
