Door of Hope seeks R250k for eight children starting Grade R
The organisation is appealing for donations to cover school fees, transport, uniforms and stationery for 2027.
Eight children from Door of Hope are preparing to begin their Grade R journey in 2027, marking an important milestone in their education.
However, they need financial support to ensure they have the resources to start the school year with confidence.
Despite a generous reduction in school fees, Door of Hope still needs to raise R250 000 to cover school fees, transport, stationery and other essential educational costs for the year.
Members of the public are encouraged to contribute to this goal, as any donation makes a difference.
Those wishing to provide longer-term support can join the Backpack Hero programme by sponsoring a child for R2 500 per month.
This helps cover essential school needs, including school fees, uniform, shoes, stationery and transport.
You can donate through the BackaBuddy fundraising campaign, and you can find more information about the Backpack Hero programme on the Door of Hope website at Backpack Hero – Door of Hope.
