Mulbarton murder case lags on

Daniel Rowland's trial continuation date is yet to be set after almost 3 years.

Daniel Rowland, accused of murder and drug possession after he was involved in a shooting at Il Camino restaurant in Mulbarton in 2021, appeared for the postponement of his trial on January 24 in the Booysens Magistrate’s Court.

Rowland’s advocate Mohammed Mayet did not appear in court, but an agreement between Mayat and the State prosecutor was reached, to once again postpone the case until February 21, when a trial date might be set.

Magistrate Matshitse agreed to postpone the trial.

”The case is once again remanded, at the next appearance we hope a trial date can be set,” said Matshitse.
