“The mini and senior councils provide platforms for learners to take the lead in matters related to school operations and their impact on their peers. By encouraging learners to develop their leadership abilities, Nova Pioneer Ormonde aims to nurture servant leaders and change-makers who will positively shape Africa’s future.

“In addition to their responsibilities within the school, the mini and senior council members will actively engage in outreach projects designed to uplift the local community. Through these initiatives, Nova Pioneer Ormonde seeks to instil a sense of civic duty and social responsibility in its learners, fostering a deep understanding of the importance of contributing to broader society.

“The council members will meet weekly with the deans of students to serve as learner liaisons, ensuring that the voices and perspectives of their peers are heard and considered in decision-making processes.

“This collaborative approach facilitates open communication and enables the school’s leadership team to continuously improve student experiences and address relevant classroom matters,” said Mohamed.

Happy Seshoka, Nova Pioneer Ormonde Primary head of school, said: “Nova Pioneer Ormonde Primary congratulates the mini and senior council members for their outstanding achievements and expresses its confidence in their ability to lead with integrity, compassion, and excellence. The school community eagerly anticipates the positive impact they will make during the upcoming academic year.”
