Resthaven children and elderly enjoy a day in nature

Resthaven residents were treated to more spoils in celebration of the festive season.

Resthaven children started with a guided nature walk with Callan, assistant eco manager and Travis, eco manager at Thaba Eco Park.

During the walk, they introduced the children to interesting natural features, including the local wildlife, plants, and animal skulls to name a few.

Afterwards, they enjoyed a delicious breakfast buffet at the Kraal Restaurant.

Residents embrace the outdoor experience.

The seniors started with the breakfast buffet, followed by a relaxing guided eco-drive experience.

Gina from Green Earth Concepts then facilitated both groups with an interesting talk at Thaba Eco Farm, where she highlighted the importance of creating vegetable gardens to be sustainable.

The staff of Thaba Eco Park ended the morning by thanking Resthaven for visiting and handing them a tasty snack pack to take home to enjoy later.

Seniors raise their arms for a fun-filled game drive.
