Southgate’s Marketing Manager, Mbali Mahlori, says, “With this bespoke experience, Southgate Mall aims to be the ultimate destination to celebrate Mother’s Day, where every mom is cherished with love and gratitude.”

“To participate in this memorable event, visitors can simply spend R350 or more at the centre before 11am on May 12, bring their till slip to Southgate’s Info Desk, and book their spot for the delicious brunch and entertainment experience,” she said.

Mahlori said the theme of the celebration is ‘Every Mom Counts,’ reflecting Southgate Mall’s deep appreciation for motherhood in all its forms. The event will take place at the Wimpy court and feature food sponsorships from Spur and RocoMamas, along with live entertainment from singer Nothende and the Soweto Family Band.

“This event is not only about celebrating biological mothers but also recognising and honouring adoptive mothers, foster mothers, stepmothers, and all maternal figures who contribute significantly to nurturing and caring for others,” said Mahlori.
