Christmas babies bring joy to Alberton and Thelle Mogoerane hospitals

Netcare Alberton and Thelle Mogoerane hospitals celebrate the arrival of Christmas Day newborns with special surprises.

The babies born on Christmas day at Netcare Alberton Hospital and Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital received special gifts to mark the occasion.

Netcare Alberton Hospital had a joyful Christmas day, welcoming three bundles of joy into the world.

Michaela Kedijang was born at 05:19, weighing 2.8kg.

Her mother, Rekaone Kedijang, expressed her happiness, saying, “I’m very happy to have her. We’ve been waiting for her to come.”

Unam Manyathi was born at 09:41, weighing 2.1kg.

Her mother, Sindisiwe Zwane, shared, “She came very early, six weeks before her due date. I call her my Christmas miracle.”

Meanwhile, at Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital, there was a particularly busy Christmas Day, with 25 new babies welcomed into the world.

One of the earliest arrivals was Kgalalelo Moses Lemphane, born at 04:44 in the morning, weighing 3.1kg.
