WATCH: Metro World Kids seek to teach values to learners around Joburg South
Metro World Kids 2025 re-opening at Elethu Themba school.
Metro World Kids is an NPO and child development organisation aiming to instil values and morals in learners across South Africa.
They perform this function with an interactive talk with learners and teachers through storytelling, singing and dancing.

Metro World Kids visited Elethu Themba School in Eikenhof on January 23. The organisation visits the school twice a month.
Speaker of the Johannesburg City council, Nobuhle Mthembu, was in attendance. “I want each learner to understand that believing in yourself is the most important thing in your life. It will lead you to where you belong.

“Another key aspect is respect, and giving respect will allow you to be respected.
“I was once a primary school learner with dreams and have achieved becoming the speaker of the Johannesburg City Council. That means every one of you can achieve the same, if not more,” said Mthembu.

Metro World Kids representatives like Glison Niekerk teach learners values like integrity and discipline that will allow them to build a life on a firm basis and improve their situations, no matter what circumstances they are in.
“We want learners to understand they have to build a life based on respect and moral value, as that is what will take you into places where you can achieve whatever you want to. But mainly it is for them, to create happy and secure living situations for themselves,” said Glison.

The organisation also hosts feeding schemes in the south of Johannesburg.
The children were enthusiastic about the programme and had fun learning, answering questions, and playing games.
