“We made history in the South by being the first school with this kind of truck. It will cater for foundation phase learners (Grade R to Grade Three). All learners who belong to child-headed families and those who are vulnerable will be able to do their homework and other learning activities here. There will be dedicated teachers to administer this.

“Also during the June holidays, there will be learning happening here on alternative days for the learners. This is one of the attributes of being the best-performing school,” she said.

She also mentioned that this will help the foundation phase a lot and the rest of 1 433 learners at the school. The mobile classroom is fitted with a TV, desks and chairs, toilets, af ridge, a microwave, gas stove and a sink. These amenities will make learning easier for the learners.
